Ribbons and pearls

Hi, I'm back again already with my second card today, this one is for our new challenge at Fab 'n' Funky, this week our lovely host is Julianne and she's chosen the theme of ribbon and/or pearls. Our sponsor for this week is Digital Delights and the DT were given some cute images to play with. I used Keep Me Warm Natasha, isn't she a little sweetie? I coloured her with copics, fussy cut and popped her up with sticky pads onto the die cut background, added some glittery ribbon and a few pearls. took this photo in really bright sun so excuse the deep shadows! Thanks for calling by today, please take the time to hop over to Fab N Funky and take a peek at the creations from my talented teamies and of course we'd love it if you choose to play along with us this week.

Keep it feminine

Good morning, hope your week is going well This is the first of two cards to share today, it's my DT card for Creative Moments, the optional theme this week is 'keep it feminine' and we're sponsored this week by Decosse's Dynamite Doodles
To make my card I used  papers and a frame from the Flower Power range. Unusually for me there is no mage, I added flowers to the frame instead.
Thanks for visiting, hope you can play along this fortnight...remember the theme is optional, anything goes at Creative Moments.

Dies and punches at Sweet Stampin'

Good morning...it IS still morning .... just about! My post is a bit later today as I'm still recovering from a wonderful day out yesterday. I spent the day in London with my lovely daughter (a belated birthday treat!)  We had a wander around Camden Lock and market as I've never been there, then we went to the Tate Modern (have to admit I'm not a big fan of modern art...don't really 'get' it). We must have walked miles! Our lovely day was finished with dinner and a show, Kinky Boots, which we both thoroughly enjoyed. An absolutely fabulous day spent in the company of my absolutely fabulous daughter! We didn't get home until well after midnight and then spent an hour or so chatting. Didn't get to bed until after 2 am which is why I'm shattered today!
Anyway, enough of the waffle, here's my card for this week's Sweet Stampin' Challenge which is 'dies and/or punches'. I used a ginormous Prima Princess stamp, I bought it online and didn't realise how big it was, but it is beautiful and lovely to colour! I stamped her on kraft card and used my Polychromo pencils to colour. The DP is from a Heartfelt pad, I carefully cut around the flower border with a craft knife insert the image behind it, then added some more of the flowers cut from the dp and attached with sticky pads for a bit of dimension. There's a die cut flourish, 2 punched butterflies, a couple of feathers and a little wooden  heart.
As always, there's some beautiful creations from my lovely teamies to be seen by clicking here and of course we'd love to see what you make of this lovely easy challenge.
Thanks for stopping by, have a great weekend.

All stitched up with the Southern Girls

Hello, it's me again! Only one post today...I promise! This card is for our new challenge over at Southern Girls. The theme is stitching...real or faux and we're sponsored by Sasayaki Glitter and Wild Orchid Crafts, so two very lucky people will be winning a lovely prize. My cute image is courtesy of Sasayaki Glitter, she's called Mia and is available here. She's coloured with copics and die cut using a stitched edge die. The fishtail banner is sewn on using real, ahem yes... real stitching! I added a swirly die cut, a few pearls and a stamped sentiment.
Be sure to pop over to Southern Girls to admire the lovely creations of my talented teamies, there's a lot to enjoy there, then it's up to you to get stitching and join the fun.
Thanks for taking the time to visit today....and for those of you in the UK stay warm!

Number 3!

My third and final card for today is for this week's challenge at Fab 'n ' Funky. Our theme this week is 'Birthday with a number' hosted by our lovely Pat K. We're sponsored by Bugaboo, and I decided to use an image that I already had and never got around to colouring, she's part of a set called Mini set kidz clowns, and totally cute. The Happy Birthday sentiment is part of the same set. I coloured with copics, fussy cut and popped her in front of a no.3 cut on my much neglected Cricut...a bright and cheerful card for a 3 year old. My youngest granddaughter will be 3 this year...and so will all her little friends!
Thanks for visiting today!!!

Fuzzy Bear

Told you I'd be back! Here I am with my second post today....my DT card for the first challenge this year at Creative Moments. As always it's anything goes, the optional theme for this fortnight is 'something new' and we're sponsored by SheepSki Designs. I used this cute Fuzzy Bear courtesy of our sponsor. I coloured him with copics, fussy cut and popped him into the aperture on my card.  Something new?... the digi, the tartan card blank (a gift) and the embossing folder.

I'll be back again with number 3!

Busy day....

Good morning...it's a busy day today with 3 Design Team posts due! Here's the first, my card for  the first challenge this year at Sweet Stampin' Christmas and it's 'Anything goes- Christmas'. For my card I used a great set of stamps that appealed to my (slightly sick!) sense of humour.... apologies to any vegetarians who may be offended!  The set is Daryl the Turkey by Hobby Art. Papers from stash and a die cut 'christmas' added beneath the stamped sentiment.
There's some fabulous (and tasteful!) inspiration from my lovely teamies over on the Challenge Blog, so why not hop over and take a look, then you have a whole month to add your own creations.
I'll  be back soon!

Birthday boys!

I needed a couple of quick male birthday cards for two friends inconsiderate enough to be born in early January :) I have loads of cards suitable for the girlies but not many I can send to a man! Here's one of them...the other has already gone- with no time to take a photo! I used the same sketch for both...just varying the papers, sentiments  and doggy image!
Thanks for looking!

Something New at Crafty Calendar

Good morning, running late again...should have posted this yesterday but time ran away from me...again! The first challenge of the year at Crafty Calendar is up and running....the theme is 'Something New' ...very popular theme right now! Our sponsors this month are the fabulous Bugaboo Stamps and  Lawn Fawn. I chose this cute Bugaboo image-Peapod Babies--Benny to make a new baby card.  (Thanks Bugaboo!) As I've been somewhat busy lately I kept the design very simple again.
We'd love you to come and play with us this month, just click here to visit the main challenge blog, check out the fabulous makes of the rest of the DT and add your own beautiful creation for us to admire.
Thanks for visiting today, have a great week!

Something new

Good morning and a slightly belated Happy New Year! I've not been around much for a couple of weeks as life was very busy...Christmas, New Year and a wedding in between. My son and his lovely partner tied the knot (finally!!:) on the 29th December...it was an absolutely magical day, hopefully I'll have some photos to share soon.

My first card today -and first this year - is my DT card for our new Challenge at Sweet Stampin' which is aptly enough 'Something New' , you can interpret this however you like, but don't forget to include some stamping! My something new is this gorgeous flower stamp from Imagination Crafts, I inked it up with black Stazon and stamped it onto DP, then matted it onto more DP from the same pad, very quick and easy! The sentiment stamp is new too...a magazine freebie!

Thanks for calling by, hopefully you'll be tempted to play along with us this week to show off some of your lovely new Christmas pressies! Just click here to see what my lovely teamies have created for your enjoyment, and of course to add your own beautiful creations.

I'll be back soon with another DT card!
